Andy is our candidate for the seat of Lee. He is a diehard local and a strong advocate for accountable and sustainable Government.
Andy has grown up and lived in the electorate of Lee for most of his life, living in the suburbs of West Lakes, Royal Park and West Lakes Shore. After having moved out of the district for a brief period with his wife Kirsty, they realised they missed the area and decided to return and build their new home at West Lakes Shore. They have since welcomed their son, Austin, to the family.
Andy has experienced a broad working life as an apprentice, tradesperson, technical officer, project manager and energy manager. He is a qualified electrician and has undertaken engineering and project management studies. After 13 years in the private sector working for GM Holden, he then moved to local government as a project manager. Together with wife Kirsty, they have operated advisory companies that have provided professional services to transport and the oil and gas industries, as well as Government clients.
Working with a multinational corporation gave Andy the opportunity to gain energy management skills from all corners of the globe and expertise in reducing energy costs. While working in local government, he has gained unique insights into the red tape which, he says, has contributed to the current high cost of utility bills. Andy intends turning his experience to reduce the cost of energy to consumers.
Andy will work hard to deliver the best outcomes for his electorate.
